What are the most appalling facts about the sad state of health today?

I think the most appalling of all is that there really is an answer that’s not complicated.  Most people are not aware of it; it’s not coming in our education.  We should have an educational system that’s teaching children about how to eat correctly, how to avoid the processed food, how to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables and small amounts of the other food, how to take care of yourself, how important exercise really is and ways to deal with anxiety and stress and some of the major problems in our society.  The truth is really being kept from people because you don’t see too much of this in the news media. It’s getting better now; more and more people are coming out with more positive suggestions.  People are just unaware. To me, that’s shocking that some people have no clue that the food they’re eating could have an influence on their health.

A lot of people don’t realize that the major cause of disease is their lifestyle: it’s what they’re doing, lack of exercise and not getting enough air. People need to maintain healthy thoughts and be spiritually grounded in addition to leaving out the processed food.

Most of the research is not looking at trying to find a way for people to get healthier. Most of the research is coming from pharmaceutical companies which might be counterproductive.

Disease is a business in this country. It’s not only a big business, it’s a billion-dollar business.  The food giants are taking good food and making junk out of it and making people sick.  The pharmaceutical companies have taken over, and the doctors are prescribing drugs or sending them for surgery, so they have a very unholy alliance here and it’s working out very well for them but as time goes on it’s not working out so good for the average person.
