Facts: Brain Function & Prevention

What changes can help prevent disease and maintain health?

Okay, I’ll go over that again. Give up all the processed food, and get enough exercise. You don’t have to be an Olympic weight lifter or a marathon runner.  I believe somebody can get enough exercise in just 20-30 minutes every day, just doing a mix of stretching and resistance exercises and aerobic exercise.

The human body lives by natural law. In order to live a long and high quality life you’ve got to use your body and not abuse it. Eat clean food in its highest biological form, meditate, pray, whatever you have to do to maintain a tranquil state of mind.  Don’t be discouraged; don’t pay attention to the news media with all their disasters; be selective about what you watch on television because of lot of this stuff is so negative it’s depressing at times.

Challenge yourself.  Don’t settle for mediocrity; strive to be the most that you possibly can.

What is the best way to achieve healthy brain function?

More people have dementia now than ever before.  Alzheimer’s disease is also more prevalent now. Of course, the best way to maintain healthy brain function is to follow a healthy life style; live according to natural law, get enough rest.  Stress can destroy your brain function and impair your short-term memory.

Eat a good nourishing plant-based lifestyle, chew each mouthful of food and don’t overeat.  When you are on raw living food lifestyle, done correctly, you’re actually following a calorically restricted diet which is really the way to go.  Now it might not give you 18-inch arms and it might not enable you to run in a 50-mile race, but how important really is that except to satisfy our egos? I’ve done things like that, and I look back now and I have to laugh at how ridiculous it really was to put myself through that training.

Sweet Potato helps with Potassium Intake!

Z SWEET POTATO 2

“SWEET POTATO”

“Sweet potato will help with your potassium intake which will increase your longevity/performance rate!”   Fred Bisci, Your Healthy Journey

Sweet potatoes have the highest amount of beta carotene of all fruits and vegetables, a fat-soluble plant pigment that can be converted into vitamin A which may prevent abnormal cell formation.

Sweet potato’s high antioxidant levels from vitamins C, vitamin E and vitamin A help the eye’s photoreceptors and may prevent degenerative damage. Sweet potato’s beta carotene is also important for hormonal health during pregnancy and lactation.

Sweet potatoes are a good source of choline, a micronutrient in the B-vitamin family. Choline helps with sleep, muscle movement, learning and memory and it is also important in reducing chronic inflammation.

Sweet potatoes are one of the higher potassium vegetables. Potassium helps the body work normally by helping nerves and muscles communicate and by transporting nutrients into cells and moving waste products out of them. A high potassium intake is associate with an increased longevity/performance rate!

Sweet potatoes’ potassium content is also helpful with lowering blood pressure by maintaining fluid balance and is an important electrolyte that helps regulate your heartbeat. Sweet potatoes are also a good source of dietary fiber, which helps the body maintain a healthy digestive tract and regulates digestion.

Facts: The Secret to Health and Longevity Decrease Excessiveness!

z balance

The Secret to Health and Longevity is that excessiveness leads to deficiency and balance is the key to life!

It’s all about the lifestyle; clean water, proper rest, fresh air, good state of mind. Meditation, prayer, clinical hypnosis all work very well. Leave out the processed food, and make sure you’re connecting all the dots, getting all the nutrients that you need. Make sure you’re getting enough calories to sustain your activity level. If you’re a couch potato, you don’t need a lot.  If you’re running marathons, and you’re training for the Iron Man triathlon, you’re going to need more fuel because the calories for an athlete are like gasoline in the car. The further you’re going the more gas you’re going to need.

Do you have to keep filling up the gas tank if they’re not moving anywhere?  Of course not, it’s just going to spill out into the street. (it’s like increasing your blood sugars)

Most people are just trying to take too much of everything. It’s kind of sad. People are taking all these protein drinks and all these super endurance drinks that are loaded with refined sugar or are overeating on fruit and they’re couch potatoes. That’s not going to work.

What is the most true, pertinent and valid information you can do as a lifestyle change?

What I look for in any dietary/nutritional lifestyle is one common denominator, otherwise it doesn’t work, and that’s leaving out the processed food and the excessiveness of life.

Collard greens help activate detoxification enzymes!

z collard-green-wraps 1

“Collard Greens eaten regularly, help eliminate toxins and poisons from processed foods, pollutants, pesticides and pharmaceuticals but the best way to do it is just leave it out if you can!”    Fred Bisci, Your Healthy Journey

Collard greens with its high levels of antioxidants help detoxify the body help reduce inflammation, making it a natural immune system fighter.

Collard greens are rich in glucosinolates which break down during the chewing and digestion process which helps support normal cell growth. Collard greens helps reduce inflammation, prevent abnormal cell formation, deactivate carcinogens, and contain antibacterial and antiviral properties.

Collard greens nutrients help activate detoxification enzymes and regulate their activity; they also trigger the liver to produce detoxifying enzymes that block free-radical attacks on your DNA.

Collard greens reduce inflammation and supports our cardiovascular health. Vitamin K, which is abundant in collard greens, is a critical nutrient for reducing inflammation and protecting cells that line blood vessels, including both veins and arteries and has been shown to help prevent calcification of arteries.

Facts: How do you achieve outstanding health?

Medicine doctor working with modern computer interface as medical concept

Facts: How do you achieve outstanding health?

How you achieve outstanding health is to leave out all the causes of disease and make changes which include drinking clean water and getting plenty of exercise. You leave out all the processed food and gradually progress to a 100% percent raw living food lifestyle. Even if you’re just leaving out all the processed food you’re going to have a dramatic improvement in your health.

Of course, detoxify, walk or run near the ocean, get those negative ions and breathe the air that’s been purified by the salt water.  A lot of people don’t realize that actually helps people who have cancer.

Get out into the woods and of course start exercising…drink vegetable juices, drink wheat grass juice.  You can be healthy without them but they’re a tremendous asset to help you.

People have to educate themselves and I hope my book “Your Healthy Journey” is going to be part of that. Expose yourself to information and then go on Your Own Healthy Journey and have your own experience so you actually become your own expert rather than just going on the Internet and buying some product that someone is selling. You don’t have to go to the Amazon jungle to get some exotic super food to be healthy. Watch out for some of these super foods because they’re going to wind your clock too tight; they’re going to blow up your adrenal glands and cause you to have some problems, so be very, very careful. If you think you need stimulation, what you really need is rest.

Facts: Lifestyle Sickness, Long-Term Health, Youth Illness?

CELLULAR INFLAMMATION 1

Topics: Lifestyle Sickness, Long-Term Health, Youth Illness

A lifestyle sickness/illness is an ailment that comes from living an improper lifestyle; smoking, drinking alcohol, not getting enough rest, recreational drugs, pharmaceutical drugs that are not necessary or over-prescribed and of course processed food; a bad diet. What’s the point of living this way?

I have seen for years, people running tremendously long distances or lifting heavy weights that are fueling themselves that is not optimal. Even though they’re able to do it, that’s not indicative that they’re a healthy person. There are people who are into body building and weight lifting and are able to put a incredible amount of weight over their head or do heavy bench presses. They’re huge and they’re eating five or six meals a day with lots of animal protein. They think they’re on a perfect diet because the diet is producing what they’re looking for strength; but is it going to produce long-term optimal illness-free health?  No, I don’t think so. We need to look at what is really optimal in life.

The youth today have a bigger risk and greater expression of developing illness than their parents. Everything is deteriorating; there’s more stress and there are more and more people eating junk food. More and more people are not eating any fruits and vegetables. When somebody tells you, they don’t know what a head of celery looks like, to me that’s pretty amazing. I had that happen to me. A young person told me they didn’t know what celery looked like, he didn’t know what Brussels Sprouts were, he didn’t know what sprouts were. You ask some people if they eat any fruit.  They say, no, I have never eaten any fruit; that’s pretty amazing to me. Let’s wake up and get into the plant kingdom, we all need to eat fresh fruits and vegetables every day no matter what!
