FACTS: Green Smoothies vs. Green Juices & Fermented Foods!

Green Smoothies vs. Green Juice – which is better and why? Fred Bisci

I have experienced and seen they both serve two completely different purposes. The green juice is a very powerful alkali and it gets into your system and absorbs into the bloodstream very quickly.  It helps reduce inflammation and provide additional nutrients, and it’s useful in situations where people can’t masticate well.

I also encourage people to use smoothies made in a blender where they can control the RPM so it can be blended slow. If the RPM is too high you can have too much oxidation. Also, don’t throw in the whole kitchen sink of ingredients, use 1-2 fruits with salads greens and/or GreenFood powders and if you’re going to additionally use nuts or seeds or other concentrates use 1 or 2 at most.

Eating fermented foods – are they helpful and necessary?  What’s the best kind?  Fred Bisci

Fermented foods are helpful, but I don’t believe they’re necessary.  I do eat some fermented foods and they are a good form of probiotics. I would say a good kimchee and raw sauerkraut that are not too spicy would be most useful for everyone.

What are the 10 most important foods to eat? Fred Bisci

I encourage people to eat a large variety of different foods and to rotate your foods from meal to meal. The body likes variety. From a raw food perspective, I recommend a lifestyle that’s fruit (if you don’t have a problem that would preclude it), vegetables, nuts, seeds, sprouts and avocados. Use your juicer.  Drink wheatgrass, E3Live and put Super GreenFood powders in your juices.
