Degenerative inflammatory conditions  generally comes from living the excessive routine mechanics of poor quality nourishment, smoking, drinking alcohol and coffee, not getting enough rest, recreational drugs and/or pharmaceutical drugs that over-prescribed chronically and of course processed food; this is a declining approach to aging.

Is it worth looking at your life and making the daily lifetime changes for quality longevity?

For the ongoing athlete, I have seen for years, people running tremendously long distances or lifting heavy weights that are fueling themselves with poor quality nourishment, that is not optimal. Although a person may think it is working for them, the body is just responding to anything you do through homeostasis (The ability of a cell to maintain internal equilibrium by adjusting its physiological processes to maintain bodily equilibrium). If this not done correctly you will be an aging athlete with free radical damage which will increase you probability of degeneration and continual inflammation.

There are people who are into body building and weight lifting and are able to put a incredible amount of weight over their head or do heavy bench presses. They’re huge and they’re eating five or six meals a day with lots of animal protein. They think they’re on a perfect diet because this approach is producing what they’re looking for strength; but is it going to produce long-term optimal health?

Do we need to look at what’s really optimal in life.

Today’s overweight youth have a bigger risk and a greater epigenetics (daily behaviors, routines and habits effects your gene switches) expression of developing degenerative inflammatory conditions than their parents. There is so much over-stimulation from everything in our culture that many people are over compensating. Combine this with the social and internet stresses and people will eat more and more junk food which leaves no room for enough fruits and vegetables.

I was shocked the other day when a young person told me they didn’t know what celery looked like and what Brussels Sprouts were and they had never eaten any fruit; that’s amazing to me.

What are people doing to ourselves and how can they become more aware? 

Let’s wake up and understand that there is a way decrease our inflammatory patterns by applying the assume benefits of the plant kingdom, we all need to eat fresh fruits and vegetables every day no matter what!
