Fred was familiar with all the old timer strength and body builders and Fred never knew one person in all his years that lived up till their eighties or nineties.

How you achieve outstanding health is to leave out all the causes of disease and make changes which is how you are living your daily lifestyle, clean water/air and exercise activities.

Leaving out all the processed food and gradually increasing your individual progression of freshly-prepared whole plant foods into your lifestyle is a good two step process for lifestyle.

Of course, detoxifying takes place while you are walking or running near the ocean, getting those negative ions and breathing in the air that’s been purified by the salt water or walking in a forest or mountains. You can turn these activities into exercising for endurance. A lot of people don’t realize that this actually helps people with their overall well-being when done to your individual progressive capacity.

You don’t have to go to the Amazon jungle to get some exotic super food to be healthy. Watch out for some of these super foods because they’re going to wind your clock too tight; they’re going to blow up your adrenal glands, so be careful.

If you think you need stimulation, what you really need is rest. Rest is free for all and should be taken when the body is calling for it.

Ignoring the Call for Rest will Drive You to Stimulation!

Rest = Recovery = Longevity

It’s very important to understand how your body works if you want to train correctly. Knowing what rest and stimulation are is essential. Most of the time people ignore the calling for rest and push right by it by stimulating themselves. This will make you vulnerable to breakdown and longer than usual recovery periods.

There is less opportunity for breakdown when you leave out over stimulation from activities and stimulation from the foods we consume!

One thing for sure, when you exercise and train correctly whether you are lifting weights, running for a marathon or doing sprints, it’s very, very important that you do it properly. It’s imperative that you understand that your body has to rest and to know when the body is calling it.

Stimulation will make you feel that you don’t have to rest. If you don’t rest, injuries happen.

Paleo/Ketogenic/Atkins diets: One in the Same!!

Regarding the ketogenic/paleo diet – This diet is exactly what is stated.  It’s a diet.  Diets never work!! Leaving Out The Process Foods in the Long Run Does!! 

In many respects ketogenic/paleo works in the same way as a high protein diet which never works in the long run. The same problems that existed with the Atkins diet or a high protein diet exist with a ketogenic diet. With the ketogenic diet you are forcing the human body out of a healthy biochemistry.  You are compelling the body to burn body fat as fuel instead of nourishing yourself with nutrient dense, energy efficient, low caloric carbohydrates fruits and vegetables which is the better way for health, performance and longevity.

Fruits and vegetables are needed to provide energy for all our vital functions in the most natural and efficient manner.  In nature our body only turns to fat as fuel in intentional or intermittent fasting, periods of food deprivation and illnesses. Fruits and vegetables are essential to provide vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and phytonutrients in the required amounts that the ketogenic diet does not provide. A ketogenic diet would make it harder for the body to achieve the proper acid-alkaline balance which will cause wear and tear and degeneration down the road.

Other proponents of the ketogenic diet recommend that you eat less protein than the high protein/Atkins diet which makes it a high fat diet instead. Scientifically, this makes little difference because it leads to the same problems which are inflammation, deficiencies and degenerative conditions. Some experts are recommending a ketogenic diet for cancer patients.  For obvious reasons it would not work for the same reason that the high protein diet doesn’t work. This will cause Systemic Inflammation!!

Systemic Inflammation is determined by what you decide to do in your lifestyle which accumulates over time as a burden to the body. This is a major variable about how you express health or dysfunction, degeneration and illness.

Any diet that originated mainly for weight loss will fail.  We have to look to the body’s biological design.  We are designed beyond the shadow of a doubt to live optimally over a long period of time with vitality on a whole food plant based lifestyle.

FACTS: CONSTIPATION & PERFORMANCE!!

Define constipation, how does it affect our performance?

  

         Constipation is a problem that should not be ignored. Just because you’re moving your bowels every day doesn’t mean you’re not constipated. If what you ate three or four, or even six or seven days ago is coming out of you today, even if you’re moving your bowels twice a day, you’re constipated. It’s not moving through you fast enough as a daily regular process. What you eat today if you’re clean should be coming out of you tomorrow and if it’s not, you’re constipated. If you’re constipated, you have a perfect nesting place for degenerative bacteria. You’re overworking your intestinal flora and your immune system. It might be losing the battle there.

This is one of the main reasons for living a freshly prepared whole plant food lifestyle. Enzymes, Probiotics and Miror EPF are also very helpful when you know how and when to take them.

I believe just about any disease can evolve from constipation because most of our diseases originate in the GI tract. Especially, your small intestine where most of your immune system activity takes place.

  When you’re constipated, sooner or later your body is going to stop breathing efficiently on a cellular level. You’re not going to get the oxygen you really need and you’re going to be getting a lot of other toxins delivered to your cells from your GI tract that doesn’t belong there. This will slow down the detox and cleansing system of the body.

This will intoxicate your body. This will affect your performance, recovery, mind clarity and increase and speed up the aging process. I suggest to get on the journey,

FACTS: ANTIBIOTICS & PROBIOTICS!!

Does talking antibiotics affect healthy probiotics?

 

If you’ve taken a lot of antibiotics in your life, which is a common practice in mainstream, it has probably affected the balance of healthy probiotics. Antibiotics kill bacteria broadly which will mean your whole microbiome good and bad. Plus, one dose of antibiotics can affect good flora for up to a year in the bowel.

We’re supposed to have 4-8 pounds of healthy intestinal flora. You can recover from this overkill of your beneficial intestinal flora by eating, drinking and consuming whole plant foods which is the nourishment for healthy probiotics.

Also, taking probiotics is extremely beneficial. A note of caution: if you eat/drink any processed foods you will be feeding non-beneficial bacterial strains. Non-beneficial bacterial strains will affect the epigenetic switches on all your cells systemically. This will add to a person’s degeneration, increasing the aging process and level of performance.

A healthy probiotic terrain throughout the bowel takes off the burden tremendously to our immune system. The immune system has to work much harder when you are over eating and consuming processed foods.

This is the main reason for living Your Healthy Journey.

Remember, if you have enough healthy intestinal flora and your living a freshly prepared, whole plant food lifestyle, there will be less probability to have any gas, inflammation and be less susceptible for the need of antibiotics in the future.

FACTS: Injuries, X-Rays, CT Scans, MRIs

For injuries, what is the best to diagnose: X-rays, CT scans or MRI’s?

 

 

If you have a severe injury or if you have something wrong and you’re not sure and it could be life threatening, you have to weigh the benefits against the side effects. The key is that you have to determine the cause of the problem.

The radiation in CAT scans is probably 100 times more than in X-rays. With X-rays though, the effect of radiation is cumulative so you definitely want to avoid it where possible, like at the dentist’s office.

They may say, “Oh, you’re getting as much radiation as if you’re out in the sun” – but since it is cumulative it can be a factor in us developing diseases down the road. Remember, dental x-rays have a 3 years cycle for diagnostic effectiveness.

MRIs are safer, but you’ve still got to be careful. Consult with somebody you trust and who understands this and is going to give you an objective evaluation based on what’s best for you and not what’s best for their pocket book.

FACTS: Hormone Balance & Libido!!

Can the right lifestyle help with hormone balance for woman & man?

Yes, it can. Many women on a good healthy whole plant food lifestyle that go into menopause with no symptoms; no hot flashes, no irritability, no problems. Menopause is supposed to be a beautiful time in a woman’s life. Estrogen production doesn’t stop completely; it just goes down to non-reproductive levels. A poor diet causes even less estrogen production, along with disturbance in the hypothalamus which controls our body’s temperature, leading to the hot flashes.

Plus, bio-identical hormones are not the answer for men. It’s a total misinterpretation of what we’re supposed to be like. A lot of men think that if they don’t have the libido of a lion they’re losing their manhood. You never were supposed to be that way in the first place. Sexuality is supposed to be fulfillment of a bonding, loving relationship between a man and a woman. You could be 90 or 100 and if you’ve been living a right lifestyle, and if you and your partner want to be sexually active at that point, you should be more than capable. How do I know? I’m speaking from experience. There might be snow on the roof, but there’s fire in the furnace. You’ve just got to do this right.
